CLLS Insolvency Law Committee - response to tax avoidance consultation

The Insolvency Lawyers’ Association’s Technical Committee and the CLLS Insolvency Law Committee responded jointly to HMRC Consultation: “Tougher consequences for promoters of tax avoidance”. The consultation sought views on proposals which would, if implemented, buttress HMRC’s ability to tackle promoters of tax avoidance. The Committee commented on the proposals relating to the expedition of disqualification proceedings against directors of companies involved in promoting tax avoidance.
