Driving Engagement with L&D - A CLLS Training Committee Workshop
Hosted by Slaughter & May
4 February 2026 - 09.30 for a 10.00 start until 12.30
The training you offer is bespoke, mapped to your firm's competencies, scoped with sensitivity as to busy lawyers' time constraints, intersectional characteristics and learning preferences. Your comms are persuasive and efficient, and partners are apparently enthusiastic for their people to attend. You know, and your people know the skills programmes you offer will makethem more satisfied and successful, drive client service and firmwide profitability. Why then, are you seeing attendance rates of sometimes only 20% at your programmes? Why are people not responding to invitations or visiting your LMS? Or why are they replying saying they will come and then not turning up?
If this resonates, or indeed if you have the secret ingredient that keeps people coming to your training, please do attend this in person, interactive workshop. We will be using practical exercises, sharing stories and best practice. The conversation will be led by Greg Lascelles, Partner at Hausfeld LLP, Camilla Brignall, L&D Manager at Linklaters, Deborah Carter, Senior L&D Manager at Slaughter & May, Rachel Wevill, Head of People Development at Travers Smith, Rif Malik, Business Coach at The Alliance, and Nigel Spencer, Professor of Education Innovation and Professional Practice at the School of Law Queen Mary University of London.
Let's keep learning from each other in order to drive engagement in the new year, supporting our lawyers to be their best professional selves. Further details to come but please register interest here: [email protected]
