CLLS Land Law Committee Draft Form of Overseas Legal Opinion On Transactions Relating To Real Property In England And Wales (Form Reviewed September 2022 with an update in October 2026)
The October 2026 update was a change to paragraph 5.2.11 resulting from the new paragraph 6 in Practice guide 78: overseas entities - GOV.UK (included in August 2026) and the increased number of instances in which HM Land Registry has raised requisitions relating to an overseas Entity (during the course of its ownership of the property) being struck off from the relevant register in its jurisdiction/dissolved (e.g. for not complying with statutory filings) and then being reinstated to the register. In the October update, there were also a few minor clerical changes to the opinion. The Land Law section of Precedent Documents on the website includes a comparison document showing the changes.
