2026 Update of the Eighth Edition of the Certificate of Title Suite

The updated suite - now available on this website under Precedent Documents - contains the Certificate, the Wrapper, Confirmation letters for draft and final Certificate, Questionnaire, and Supplemental Enquiries.

There are a few important changes to the Certificate, the most significant being a new set of statements relating to the Building Safety Act 2022 in Schedule 3. This and the other changes are referred to in the Note to Users at the back of the Certificate, under “Update April 2026”. A comparison document has been provided showing the changes in the Certificate and Note to Users for the 2026 Update.

There are consequential changes to the other documents in the Certificate suite and each document highlights at the front where there has been an Update for April 2026. Each document is provided on the website in PDF and Word format.

The short form Report on Title is not affected by this 2026 Update.
