City solicitor groups announce funding support for LawCare in three-year partnership

The City of London Law Society (CLLS) and the City of London Solicitors’ Company (CLSC) have entered a three-year strategic partnership with LawCare, pledging a combined £45,000 to support mental health and workplace wellbeing across the legal profession.

Patrick McCann, chief executive of the City of London Law Society, said: “This partnership reflects a clear responsibility to engage with the realities of working in law, not just at a headline level but in a way that is sustained and practical. LawCare provides both direct support to individuals and a clearer understanding of the pressures that sit within the profession.

“By committing to a multi-year partnership, and working alongside the CLSC, we are supporting that work in a way that is consistent, visible and grounded in evidence. This is about contributing to a profession that can operate effectively over time, supported by the right structures and understanding.”

McCann added: “I’d encourage other legal sector organisations to find out more about, and similarly support, LawCare’s important work. We have much to learn and do.”
